Pet Boarding & Doggy Day Care Internship Program


We are delighted to announce the launch of our 2017 Internship Program, we are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join our Pet Boarding & Doggy Day Care team !

An internship is a great way to obtain hands on practical experience in a real life working enviroment in our busy Pet Boarding facility. Each intern will receive a well-rounded basic knowledge of canine behaviour and psychology learning theory which will be applied as he/she works within our Pet Boarding facility.

Each internship is voluntary and will run for a period of six months. Every intern will be expected to commit to work 3-5 days per week. Our hours are from 7am to 7pm Monday through Sunday and you will be scheduled to work within these times in our busy Pet Boarding facility. Initial acceptance into the Internship program will depend a lot on attitude and personality. There will also be monthly reading and theory classes throughout the internship and each stage of the learning process is part of the selection process.

Successful interns are expected to cover all of their own costs incurred for the duration of the program.

At the expiration of the internship period, selected interns may be invited to join the Pet Boarding team with the chance of further career progression.


Candidates applying for this position must possess the following:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working in our busy Pet Boarding facility
  • Supervising controlled playtime (indoor/outdoor)
  • Group training,focus attention and rewards
  • Tolerant of loud noises as dogs barking and playing can be noisy
  • Regular cleaning of the Doggie Day-care & Pet Boarding area i.e mopping,cleaning windows
  • Regular cleaning up after dogs
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are met
  • A love of dogs without bias against specific breeds
  • Ability to work with a diverse staff and excel in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Maintain a professional demeanour with staff, members of the public and other volunteers
  • Maintain professional standards of performance and appearance at all times
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Ability to absorb and apply information quickly
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Available 3-5 days a week
  • Ability to make a 6 month commitment to the program
